European Union (EU)


European Union Blue Card is a path to Immigration to Europe and for those wanting to work in Europe. The "Blue EU Labour Card", has been inspired by the US "green card" and takes its name from the EU flag.
The aim of the Blue Card is to give EU companies the ability to easily recruit highly skilled workers with specialized skills which are difficult to find in the European Union. The European Commission says the EU needs 20 million skilled immigrants over the next 20 years, especially in the computer technology and engineering sectors.
Currently many companies have difficulty finding suitable workers to fill specialist positions within the Healthcare, Engineering, Science & Information Technology Sectors and tourism. It is predicted the EU economy will need between 384,000 and 700,000 IT workers by 2015, and by 2020, between one and two million health-care workers.
The blue card will help EU employers who need to bring in foreign skilled labour to fill these types of specialist level jobs.

About EU Blue Card

A job offer in an EU Country is mandatory to apply for an EU Blue card visa.

For the first two years, the migrant must live and work in the country from where the blue card is initially issued.  After this, the migrant can move to any other country if you can find work there.

Eligibility

  • A recognized university qualification, and:
  • Evidence of at least three to five years professional experience, and;
  • Offer of an EU job contract with a salary of 1.5 times the existing average wage of the country

Professionals

Education 

  • Any professional with a degree & work experience can apply for the Skills & Talents Permit.  
  • Applicant must have a Bachelors Degree. Artists and athletes are exempted from this rule.
  • Bachelor’s degree holder needs 3 years of work experience.
  • Masters Degree holder needs 1 year of work experience.
  • PhD holders do not require work experience

 Annual Income

  • Whatever the degree, a level of income, comparable to that of a senior executive in France is required.
  • There is no fixed figure & to determine income the age of the applicant and the nature of the project will be considered.
  • An applicant older than 30 years should in principle strictly meet the criteria of income.
  • A candidate without a degree/diploma will have to justify a professional experience of at least 5 years & a high level of income

Investors, Entrepreneurs & Businessmen
You are eligible for the “Skills and Talents “ permit if you can show one the following economic projects:
 

  • Project leading to the creation of at least two jobs, including the  yours in France, or to the safeguarding of at least two jobs in France
  • Project including an investment in tangible assets (acquisition of land, buildings and equipments) or intangible assets ( transfer of  technology , rights, patents, licenses, know-how or unpatented technical knowledge) of at least 300.000 Euros.
  • Project sponsored by a foreign company created for at least two years or already established in France

Project here refers to business plan. Your business plan must be backed with sufficient financial resources that show you are able to execute the same.
Any Indian company likely to create jobs in France will be given priority.

Employees of a Company


The  “Skills and Talents “ permit can be issued to a foreigner named as a legal representative in an company if he meets the following cumulative criteria :
a. Gross monthly earnings of at least 3 times the  French established minimal wage (SMIC)
b. Mission in France longer than 6 months.
c. He proves he has been with the company for over 3 months.
Minimum wage in France is currently about 1400 Euros per month.  

Danish Green Card (Denmark Green Card) & Denmark Immigration

Eligibility for Danish Green Card / Denmark Green Card :

The Danish Green Card / Denmark Green Card is a point based system and in order to qualify applicants must score 100 points. EGTS processes applications only of those who score these points, which makes us confident of our success. Points are scored from any of the following:

Start-Up Entrepreneur Visa

Basic Features of this Visa

  • Low investment.Funds of only approx. Rs.52 Lakhs to be shown
  • Initial visa for 2 years, which can be renewed for 3 more years.
  • Long Term Residence for 5 years, provided the business is still operational and the applicant is earning a living without being a burden on the State.
  • No employment requirement will exist for the first two years and neither shall the business be required to be profitable at renewal stage.

Norway

Skilled JobseekerResidence Permit

Norway's Skilled Jobseeker Residence Permit allows you to live in Norway for 6 months, search for jobs & interview with employers. Visas are granted in less than 3 months.

Eligibility :

Foreigners who wish to apply for a skilled Jobseeker visa must fulfill one of these requirements:

Possess a Vocational trainings/Craft course/University Degree or a higher Special qualifications from a Recognised Universities around the world meeting to the standards of Norway and relevant to their nominated occupation.

Apart from the Educational and Employment requirements as a skilled worker one must also possess sufficient funds to live in Norway for the intended stay in the country. This currently corresponds to NOK 103,950 in Norway currency for six months which is approximately 10.10 Lakhs in Indian rupees.

United Kingdom

What is a Tier 2 visa?
Tier 2 skilled work permit is for medium and highly skilled workers who wish to migrate to the UK with an employment offer from a British company

How can an employer obtain a sponsorship license?
The employer should register with the UK Border Agency as a Licensed Sponsor and satisfy the requirements under this category. The organization will be subjected to immigration compliance checks and should adhere to several record keeping and reporting duties for the applicants it sponsors. Employers are awarded either an A or B level sponsorship license.

What is the maintenance fund an applicant needs to show?
To earn 10 points in this category, applicants should show personal savings of £800 (£533 per dependent) or written confirmation from their sponsor that the sponsor will maintain and accommodate them until the end of the first month of their work in the United Kingdom.

How long can I stay?
It depends on the mode of application. If you are applying as a skilled worker under tier 2, outside the UK then you will be able to live or work there for maximum of 3 years plus 1 month or the time given in the sponsorship certificate plus 1 month. If you’re inside the UK and are switching into the skilled worker category, you are allowed to stay for the period of three years or the time given in the sponsorship certificate plus 14 days more.

What if I would like to stay further?
At the end of the 3 years stay in the UK, you need to apply for the extension. The extension is approved for 2 more years. After a 5 year stay in the UK, you can apply for indefinite leave to remain.

Can I bring my dependents?
Spouse, common law, civil or unmarried life partner of the candidate ad any dependent children can travel to the UK at the same time. The dependents would be permitted the same period of leave as of the principal applicant and as dependents they may be able to work in the UK.

Austria

Austria RWR Card is an excellent option for foreigners, which allows them to qualify under point base system, to seek job in Austria. Successful Skilled Jobseekers will be allowed a 6 months residence permit in Austria and pursue their Job. The RWR card will be issued for 12 months after finding a Job which is relevant to your qualifications. This will also allow you to take your spouse and children below 18. Your spouse can obtain a RWR card Plus and start working in Austria. RWR card plus with complete labor market access can be provided after completing at least 10 months with the current employer. After 5 years of Residence Status, get Permanent Residency and eventually Citizenship.

Eligibility :
To be eligible to apply for the visa, applicants must pass certain criteria related to age, education, experience, and language skills.


Very highly qualified workers :
For applicants who are at a managerial level or with relevant qualifications and extensive years of experience and a commitment to work and settle in Austria. This is a points based category and the applicant must meet at least 70 out of 100 points on various sections like age/work experience/qualifications/language skills/Pay scale/adaptability(Education from Austria). A 6 months visa will be granted to search for Jobs in Austria and obtain a RWR card with an employment offer. This is the category for applicants who do not have a ready Job offer.


Graduates of universities and colleges of higher education in Austria :
This category is for students who graduated and completed a part of education in Austria at a College or University level and have a Job offer relevant to the education

Social Affairs Minister Rudolf Hundstorfer said that Austria must import migrant labour to deal with skills shortages over the next 10 to 15 years.


Benefits of RWR Card :
The Highly Qualified Worker program is a points based scheme that allows you to work in Austria without a Job offer. You are allowed to stay for 6 months- without a Job offer.
The RWR card will be issued for 12 months after finding a Job which is relevant to your qualifications. This will also allow you to take your spouse and children below 18. Your spouse can obtain a RWR card Plus and start working in Austria.

RWR card plus with complete labor market access can be provided after completing at least 10 months with the current employer which further allows you to gain the permanent residency after 5 years of residence status.

Canada

Immigration - Federal Skilled Worker Program

Canada PR & Canada Immigration for Skilled Workers is points based. You need to score 67 of 100 points

Basic Features of this visa :

Australia Skilled Immigration Program :

What is the Skilled-Independent Migration?

Australia Skilled Immigration Program is a permanent visa option available for immigrants who do not have a sponsor in Australia but have the necessary skills and qualifications for occupations in need, in Australia, along with competent English language ability. This is for anyone who wants to Migrate to Australia.

What are the eligibility requirements for a Skilled-Independent Migration visa / for the Australia Skilled Immigration Program?

  • The applicant for the Australia Skilled Immigration Program has to score 60 points under a points test.
  • The age of the applicant should be below 50 years.
  • The applicant should have proficiency in English language.
  • The applicant should nominate an occupation listed on SOL(Schedule 1).
  • The applicant for the Australia Skilled Immigration Program should get a skill assessment done for a nominated occupation by skill assessing Authority before the application is lodged.
  • The applicant should either have been employed in a nominated occupation listed on the SOL or have met the two year study requirement in the last six months with Australian qualifications closely related to the nominated occupation

New Zealand

Skilled Migrant Category Visa :

To apply under the Skilled Migrant Category New Zealand, you must meet the basic requirements. You need to be aged 55 or under. You also have to meet the NZ standards of health, character, and English language proficiency.

  • You must meet at least 100 points to lodge your expression of interest. However, applications that meet 140 will get selected automatically.
  • Points will be granted for Age, skilled employment or Job offer in New Zealand, Recognized Qualifications, and Spouse recognized qualifications, bonus points for Qualifications& experience in Absolute skills shortage areas and identified future growth areas, close family or relative in New Zealand, Qualifications from New Zealand and additional years of experience from New Zealand.
  • If you do not have current employment or Job offer from New Zealand, must require to have experience in the areas of Absolute skills shortage or Comparable labor market countries to claim points on experience.
  • Every fortnight a POOL draw will happen and all selected applications will be sent invitations, an application for residence must be made within 4 months.
  • Based on the assessment a Residence visa (2 yrs residence) or a Job Search visa (9 months) can be granted. Work to residence can be converted by updating the department with a Job offer.

United States of America

Eligibility

All L1 employees must have been employed by the overseas company for at least one of the three years preceding the transfer unless they are beneficiary of a blanket L1.

Employee should have been directly or indirectly employed by the overseas company. It could even be a freelance employee as long as the sponsor had management & control over the worker for one of the last three years.

The employee should have been employed as an executive, manager or specialized knowledge worker. Managers & Executives should be supervising professional and managerial staff & teams and control and direct day to day operations. Specialized workers should be fully trained & familiar with the company’s products, methods, processes & procedures.

Who can be sponsored on an L1 visa?

Managers  / Executives : You will be required to show that you are a senior professional staff of a key function, department or division of the company. Also, your job is of a supervisory nature and you have a team / teams reporting to you. Visa will be granted for a 3 year period and is extendible twice to a maximum of seven years. .

Specialized Knowledge Staff : You must show that you have knowledge of the company's products/services, research, systems, proprietary techniques, management, or procedures. You will get a visa for 3 years extended to a maximum period of 5 years.
When you have completed the maximum period you must return to your home country and be employed with your company for a minimum of one year and then make a new L1 or H1 application

E B 5  VISA

Regular Program

A person investing $500,000 in certain circumstances or $1 million in a business that creates 10 jobs may be granted EB-5 permanent resident status.
The basic government criteria for this status are:

  1. Investment must be in a business, not a passive investment such as the stock market;
  2. Invested funds must be the individual's, but may be a gift from a parent or other person,
  3. The business must have been created after November 29, 1990 or the investment must substantially change an older business.;
  4. The amount of investment may be $500,000 in a rural or high unemployment area.
  5. Create 10 jobs – no direct job creation is required if the investment is in a Regional Center Program.
